Advanced Studies

Goal-Driven Mentorship.

The Joe Kubert School’s Advanced Studies program is designed as an intensive mentorship opportunity for artists who are ready to take their work to the next level. Open to artists of all backgrounds and experience levels, the program emphasizes personalized guidance, project development, and one-on-one mentorship with seasoned professionals.

Rather than a traditional class structure, Advanced Studies is centered on each participant’s individual project. Applicants should submit 8–10 pieces of their latest narrative work or a written pitch accompanied by art. Accepted students will then use the program to develop their chosen project; whether refining storytelling, completing pages, or preparing a professional pitch, while receiving direct feedback and mentorship throughout the semester.

Held at our historic Madison, NJ location, the program runs three days a week in a creative and supportive environment. With only ten participants accepted, each artist receives the dedicated attention and guidance necessary to grow, experiment, and bring their vision to life.

The Advanced Studies program is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, and will conclude on Friday, May 1st. Classes will be held in-person and online on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week. The comprehensive cost of attendance is $9,165. If needed, art kits are available through the art store. There will be no classes on February 17th -19th and April 7th – 9th due to winter and spring breaks.
