Online Studies Program – NEW CLASSES ADDED
Taught by industry professionals, the Joe Kubert School’s Online Studies Program presents the student with a six-week intensive designed for them to learn by instruction and critique. The Online Studies program is a great way to hone your skills and knowledge as a cartoonist.
THESE ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE FULL-TIME PROGRAM.
- Evenings from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm ET (unless otherwise noted), once a week.
- Each class takes place over six weeks for a total of 6 sessions.
- Classes taught through Google Meet and Google Classroom.

Taught by DC Comics artist Maria Sanapo, students will learn how to create bold, eye catching comic book covers. Using techniques like foreshortening, dramatic perspective, and dynamic posing, students will learn how to add impact, depth, and motion to their figures.

In this workshop you will learn how to put together an attractive portfolio, locate potential publishers to hire you, apply for a position, and negotiate the ins-and-outs of your business relationship.

This class will focus on developing ideas as key pre-production tools for narrative animation, film, and projects. The lectures, class work, and assignments will help students to expand their own cinematic drawing techniques, and help them to develop clear and dynamic stories for the screen.
