Scholarships Open the Door to Possibilities
Scholarships are an excellent source of financial aid since you do not owe any money after school. Scholarships can easily be found on the web.
Specifications for Image Files: All images should be submitted in JPEG format (*.jpg) and RGB color mode. If you are scanning your images, scan at a high resolution and scale down to 72 dpi. Your file size should not exceed 3.0 MB per image. Please include your full name in the file name.
Only pre-registered students who have filled out and returned their enrollment agreements, and have paid their $100 registration fee can participate. 2nd and 3rd year winners announced during an all-school assembly in May.

Norman Maurer Memorial Scholarship
Norman Albert Maurer (May 13, 1926 – November 23, 1986), a comic book artist and writer, was also a director and producer of films and television shows.One (1) $2000 Award for a worthy 1st Year Student going into the 2nd Year at TKS; Sponsored by the family and friends of Norman Maurer.

Max Gray Foundation Scholarship
Awarded from the Max Gray Foundation established in memory of Max Gray who was a student at The Kubert School. The cornerstone of the foundation is to help make a lasting and positive impact in the lives of young people. And at the same time look for opportunities that inspire, motivate, and empower young people, connecting them with organizations providing tools to succeed for the rest of their lives. Three (3) $1000 Awards for three students either going into their 2nd or 3rd Year at TKS. Sponsored by the Max Gray Foundation.

Dave Cockrum Memorial Scholarship
One (1) $1000 Award for a worthy 2nd Year Student going into the 3rd Year at TKS; Sponsored by the family and friends of Dave Cockrum.
Dave Simons Inkwell Memorial Scholarship
Dave Simons was an American comic book artist known for his work on Conan, Ghost Rider, Red Sonja, and Spider-Man for Marvel Comics, and Forgotten Realms for DC Comics. One (1) $1000 Award for a worthy 2nd Year Student going into the 3rd Year at TKS; Sponsored by the Inkwell Awards.
Dave Monahan Memorial Scholarship
Kubert School alumnus Dave Monahan was a graduate of the Class of ’99. He worked in the Kubert Art Store before starting to receive freelance work from DC Comics (Pirana Press) and Dark Horse Comics. This scholarship was set up in his name after his untimely death due to a sudden illness shortly after he graduated.
One (1) $2000 Award for a worthy 2nd Year Student going into the 3rd Year at TKS; Sponsored by the Monahan family.
