Summer Sessions – Adults

Adult Summer Sessions: Acquire the secrets of Cartooning from Professional Artists with our Summer sessions.

SUMMER 2024

Classes Begin July 1st (NO CLASS ON JULY 4TH!)

Summer sessions are held at The Joe Kubert School during July and August. Four week programs are broken down by week.

WEEK 1 – CHARACTER DESIGN

  • Develop your own MANGA or SUPERHERO characters! We’ll use creative exercises to unleash your imagination!

WEEK 2 – SEQUENTIAL STORYTELLING

  • Learn how to tell a story using pictures! Bring your stories to life by means of your drawings!

WEEK 3 – PENCILING AND INKING

  • Discover the basics of penciling comics from “roughs” to finished pencils!  Solve the mystery of how to use pens and brushes to INK FINISHED PENCILS!

WEEK 4 – COLOR ILLUSTRATION

  • Learn how to color your comics! We’ll explore BOTH TRADITIONAL and DIGITAL METHODS! Bring your creations to Life with Color!

  • Each 1 week summer session costs $325
  • Each 1-month summer sessions package deal costs $975
  • Monday – Friday  from 9am – 3pm
  • Registration is now open and enrollment is limited.
  • Month of July dates: July 1st through July 26th (No Class on July 4th)
  • Month of August dates: July 29th though August 23rd

Enrollment Includes a FREE ART KIT & T-SHIRT!! Limited edition of the Joe Kubert Summer Cartoon Sketch Session T-shirt (T-shirts are in adult sizes – S, M, L, XL)
